This whole discourse starts with a premise that the government owns all the money and if anyone gets to keep any it is a benefit. The proper perspective is that the money belongs to the person who earned it. The amount taken by the government in taxes should be minimized and it is a wise person who takes full advantage of all the law allows. Money given to the government is used very inefficiently and does not earn more money. Money kept by individuals benefits the economy via individual expenditures and investment into companies that hire people and create opportunities. If an entity, individual or corporation, is allowed to keep more of its earnings, those earnings will result in growth and opportunity. Individuals, whether a corporate CEO or middle class worker or small businessman do not bury their earnings in the backyard. Nor do larger corporations. They invest it in the economy. We need to stop the class warfare agenda. It does not add anything positive and only creates misunderstanding and frustration. It is a positive thing for someone to succeed in life, make more money and achieve their goals. They should not be demonized for doing so. They should be applauded. How many people work for a poor person? Also, the people who pay the most taxes are always going to be the ones who save the most in tax cuts unless the tax plan is predatory towards the more successful. Penalizing success always limits growth and is a negative for all levels on the economic ladder. It is not the purpose of government to redistribute money towards 'equalizing' income. It is the purpose of government to insure that government does not impede opportunity. Let's stop the class warfare and 'evil rich' campaign. Let's be thankful that people succeed because every success opens doors for others. In case you haven't noticed, government controlled economies have not done well – USSR, pre-capitalist China, Venezuela, Cuba, …

What a surprise, A tax plan to fuck the working poor's world again… take away from us and give to them. This should be so illegal. We have to rise against this people. Trump is stealing form the poor and giving to the rich.. He's no robin hood! Trump has used taxpayer dollars to golf at HIS resort every week . He has aligned all the rich to get so much richer. I like how they describe his presidency as a presidency for profit…….Thanks Trump supporters!

What's despicable about Sen Rand Paul – and other conservatives like him – is that his reasons for wanting lower taxes are correct when applied to the poor: give them more disposable income they will spend it thus boosting the economy, but completely the opposite when applied to the wealthiest 1% or corporations, since if you give the wealthy tax cuts they tend to hoard it or spend it on luxuries, which does not much help the general economy. 100 million people buying more milk, bread and cookies is a vastly greater sum than 1% of the population buying one new yacht or beach house. This makes the Tax cuts the opposite of good fiscal policy.

Trump once said he could become President and make a profit. Voters who elected him will now watch the collapse of America. When you dont research a candidate before voting, this can result. Trump voters are the dumbest people on this planet!

Presidency for profit.  Thank God Trump did not get in on the ground floor of selling USA uranium to Russia.  He also missed out on starting wars for profit in Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, Syria, and Yemen.  Also thank God he has not started any new wars.  From other news sources the info is that he is lowering taxes for everybody and maybe he should stick to the old plan of just giving money to banks and large companies to bail them out.  Thank God Hillary lost.  Maybe a better choice though could be found for the next round.

First, I have been watching and commenting on Trump for sixteen months. Keith Olbermann was the person who "Got it" right away and demonstrated that he is as angry as I am that Putin's cock holster stole our Democracy.
I knew the Visigoths were at the gate and I watched in pure horror as on the 2016 election we allowed them inside. It is all recorded to video in Olbermann's "The Closer." If you want to help your country, buy his book and find out how to be moved to help.
Listen, if I had not voted, I would have put my Papaw's shotgun to my head. But, that is me and I did vote. Look around. Congress will not move to impeach, Jeff Sessions will not prosecute his white supremacist leader and his family of undesirables under the RICO Act, as is the purpose of the office of Attorney General; you know, checks and balances.
Straight out – We are going to do this ourselves, Folks. In the name of humanity, we must not turn over America to the Fascists. #Nov4ItBegins #Resist @unanimous300

Companies and Corporations have hide their money all legal, the only way to get re-investment in America is to cut the crap out. Money is not like crap, spreading it out does not create jobs. Jobs would benefit American way more than welfare as well as generate more tax revenue to support the systems socialist seem to think we want.

So they want to limit the amount of children you can deduct, while also making abortion more difficult and contraceptives aren't required coverage. Trifecta F-U to women, with probably other little things throughout the medicaid parts just to dig their elbows in and remind us who the "real" Americans are. And with reduced coverage and all these other cuts it will be more affordable right? WRONG. Overturn Citizens United.

I like the idea of these tax cuts, but I strongly recommend cutting spending along with it, particularly in regards to national defense, education, subsidies, welfare, and pensions, as the deficit and national debt are getting dangerously high. Cutting pensions might be political suicide, but we could probably get away with cuts to education and welfare (including medicare and medicaid). Both of these programs are funded about 48% by budget transfers and are extremely useful. The money is better in the hands of wealth creators or consumers, in my opinion.

It is so typical that the White working-class often vote against its own social and economic interests, so long as it means Blacks will be disenfranchised / excluded. Well, take comfort always that you are not Black, even though you will end up on welfare and/or homeless. You got the America you wanted.

The greedy wealthy have been trying to reverse the policies instituted by Roosevelt that actually made America a superpower. This strangle hold on their ability to fleece America and the World has been effectively reversed since Reagan championed trickle down economics, which has turned out to be the biggest con in American history! Cut the taxes of the wealthy and the middle class will disappear completely. Good job Republicans and establishment Democrats! Let your greed flag fly!

Well of course they give themselves tax breaks of millions simply because there is absolutely zero accountability for their actions. Who will stop them? Seriously? As citizens we all simply are allowed to routinely listen to these stories of massive corruption, & of the wealthy getting tax breaks hundreds to thousands of times our annual gross income and process this as some twisted & morbid form of edu entertainment. The reporters and analysts all revel in the collective notion and hyperbole of 'look at these giant numbers, & yes they are getting away with it… but tough toe nails gang…. there isn't squat you can do about it!'

Just once… I would love to hear a solution that the collective little guy can take action to stop these scum bags. How about a real time voting mechanism and period of casting a vote for the populous that reflects actual citizen approval or repeal of these actions?

When was the last time the government passed something that was a measurable benefit to the average citizen that was not riddled with loop holes and hidden double talk?

2¢ and yes that's my tax benefit from the new reform.

Given that, all things being equal, France's budget, concocted by the 'Democrat' Macron, is leaning in the exact same direction (abolition of the wealth tax for financial stocks, introduction of a flat tax), that is based on the same assumption (namely : the 1 % need to be rewarded, fuck the rest), and that, in doing so, it is indeed fueling a global tax war and a race to the bottom, one may wonder whether the US corporate 'Democrats' are really that displeased with Trump's budget, may one not ?

America – never short of money for war but refuses to give its citizens a national healthcare service when there's plenty of countries around the world that can afford it. It might be because they prioritise saving lives over destroying them.
