It is outrageous that Chomsky is even allowed to speak at the UN at all!

    -Why???

For all his books. lectures, and recitations of facts, Chomsky, in reality, has actually achieved absolutely NOTHING outside of the field of Linguistics in his entire professional career in terms of Real World Experience-EVER!
Instead, he merely criticizes OTHERS, with the Great Luxury of 20/20 Hindsight!

So, in reality, giving this ridiculous old man a stump to speak from actually does a great disservice to anyone who genuinely wants to serve in Government themselves, because it legitimatizes a coward, who has never had the guts to even try to get involved, and accept real responsibility, himself!

His game of international, ‘ Emperor’s New Clothes ‘, would be comic-If the subject matter was not so serious!

    SMH..

What assurances does Israel have that Palestinians will stop terrorism if it ends the occupation and settlements? Wasn't there Arab violence against Israel before '67?

Chomsky is indeed a great man and luckily he can speak out since his reputation is so huge. Norman Kinkelstein is as good as he is: check out in the Internet

U.S and UK need to live up to their own laws. For too long have they been abusing the rights of the people they are put in place to serve. The UK government benefits large corporations rather than the people. I think this is how fascism is defined. On a daily basis the general public are lied to by national media such as BBC. Many people are unable to recognize propaganda. I'm glad BRIC is gaining power and influence and I hope the world becomes peaceful once again.

I don't know his name, or whom he represents, but the man (?) sitting on the moderator's left,
is the most impolite, egocentric, and disgusting piece of shit that I've ever observed on YT.
If that thing is in the UN, we have real cause for concern. Dr. Chomsky is, of course, my hero.

Who hated the muslim people and country the most…: Israhell

Who started the 1st world war? Were they Muslims?
Who started the 2nd World War? Were they Muslims?
Who killed about 20 million Aborigines in Australia? Were they Muslims?
Who sent atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki? Were they Muslims?
Who killed more than 100 million Indians in North America? Were they Muslims?
Who killed more than 50 million Indians in South Amreika? Were they Muslims?
Who took about 180 million Africans as slaves, of whom 88% died and was dumped in the Atlantic Ocean? Were they Muslims?
No, they were not Muslims !! First you need to define terrorism properly.
If just a Muslim commits an assault is an assault.
But if a Muslim commits the same attack was an act of terrorism and the Muslim a terrorist.

It's not an issue of "why should the US.." do this or that, but "why does it". Without addressing the core issue, nothing can change, as it is systemic. Asking for scruples from an unscrupulous structure is superfluous.

One other courageous man from America. One of the very few who have been able to speak about the reality of Israel and its main ally, the United states. If you support a criminal you're just as guilty as he is. Heads up to Noam chomsky, one of a kind. One man who refuses to be spoofed by the biased media.

“One important action that the United States could take is to live up to its own laws. Of course it would be nice if it lived up to international law, but maybe that's too much to ask,” Chomsky said.

In a country set up for and managed by an elite, law is disposable.  As are the human beings bludgeoned by the lack of morality that mode of operation espouses.

The US cannot pretend to exceptionalism before it abides by international law and upholds human rights. In the current state, it is strictly mediocre or not even that good.

The first thing is to demand that all inhabitants of Massachusetts leave the state. It is an illegal occupation. Give the people of Massachusett,  a tribe of Native Americans who historically lived in areas surrounding Massachusetts Bay in what is now the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, in particular present-day Greater Boston. Tribal members spoke the Massachusett language, part of the Algonquian family. They spoke it until they were substantially EXTERMINATED.

Chomsky has gainfully benefitted from their EXTERMINATION. Massachusetts is larger than Israel. The assault after assault on these people must be reconciled. Chomsky should be a man and leave the state.

Un audience is just a peanut gallery with one religion in mind: to destroy standing civilization and revert to barbarity. Chomsky is an evil barbarian in a suit

The bad news is, in the next few years, millions of Iraqis, Syrians, Egyptians and Libyans will kill each other or die of starvation and disease. The good news is, Dr. Chomsky will write a bestselling book, blaming it all on Jewish Republicans.

It would be nice if the United Nations understood it's own restraints.
