Tyler Perry, Regina Hall, Octavia Spencer Among Profitable Actors

[ad_1] According to new data purporting to name the most popular actor in Hollywood over nearly four decades — Tyler Perry ranks at No. 4. PartyCasino analyzed box office numbers from 1980 to 2017 to determine Hollywood’s most and least profitable actors. Surprisingly Emilio Estevez comes in at No. 1 with the best return of any top-billed male actor who has starred in at least 10 films. Pollution linked to 9 million deaths worldwide in 2015, study says

[ad_1] Air pollution is by far the largest contributor to early death, according to the new research produced by The Lancet Commission on Pollution and Health. This form of pollution is linked to 6.5 million fatalities in 2015. Climate change: Children to sue European countries

[ad_1] As signatories to the Paris climate accord, the countries have agreed to cut their emissions rates to help prevent global temperatures rising by more than 2˚C.The children will ask the European Court of Human Rights to tell the nations to enforce stronger emission-cutting policies, and to stop mining fossil fuel reserves.Lead counsel Marc Willers QC, from London's Garden Court Chambers, says the legal action is a landmark case. If successful, it would set a historic precedent and be binding across Europe. The group's legal fees in the landmark case are being paid for through a crowdfunding campaign, which has...

[ad_1] Source: Johnny Nunez / Getty Wendy Williams reportedly shook up things behind the scenes at her daily show, allegedly firing members of her staff who she believed leaked cheating rumors about her husband, Kevin Hunter. It all came to head when an explosive report alleged Hunter, who is also Williams’ manager, was carrying on a long-term relationship with a 32-year-old massage therapist named Sarina Hudson. The report also stated that Williams not only knew about the affair, but willingly shared her husband with Hudson. Williams and Hunter have been married since 2007 and share a 17-year-old son named Kevin Jr. Days later, Williams...

Raqqa: What comes next for the devastated city and ISIS

[ad_1] American officials have not yet formally announced that the fight is won, but the developments mark a significant moment for the war on ISIS -- and perhaps, in real tangible, conventional military terms, its end. Mosul in Iraq may have been the biggest population center the militants ever held, but Raqqa was the seat of ISIS' power. It was the major city they took first in Syria, and where the terror group declared its capital. When the jihadists swung into the city in late 2013, it had been for decades a secular oasis in the Syrian regime's desert, turned into...

New Fires Break Out In California As Wine Country Fires Dim

[ad_1] SANTA ROSA, Calif. (AP) — As crews gained on the wildfires in California wine country, new blazes broke out in other parts of the state, including a fire in the mountains above Los Angeles that threatened a historic observatory Tuesday and more flames in the Santa Cruz mountains. Firefighters on the ground and in the air raced to protect the Mount Wilson Observatory and nearby communications towers from a growing brush fire northeast of LA. The blaze was initially estimated at around 5 acres (2 hectares). The observatory, which has been evacuated, opened in 1917 and houses the 100-inch Hooker...
